Barnsley Academy Catering Pods
Barnsley Academy Secondary School awarded Abraxas the contract to supply two new catering pods for their site, the school needed to increase lunchtime serving capacity & provide a grab & go facility to students using the outside facilities at both lunch & break periods. Abraxas designed, supplied & installed two new pods complete with equipment to suit the client’s budget, colour scheme & location.
What did we install?
- 2 no. 4m x 2.3m catering pod with 2 front serving hatches and shutters
- Electrical installation and containment to both pods
- 4 no. Hot cupboards
- 4 no. Heated display units
- Bespoke Fabrications
- 2 no. Mobile Hand wash stations
- 2 no. Refrigerated merchandisers
- 2 no. Undercounter Refrigerators
- 4 no. Countertop Bain Marie units
- 2 no. insect control units
- 2 no. Ambient ventilation Fans.
How were Abraxas Involved?
Abraxas provided initial concept designs and costs based on the school’s brief. Once awarded the contract we provided a complete turnkey package to supply, install, project manage and commission both pods during the school holiday window, both pods were completed on time ready to serve pupils returning for the new term.
