The Abraxas Solution

Abraxas were tasked with designing and installing a brand new commercial kitchen for a new build section of the venue. The brief was for the kitchen to incorporate refrigerated food storage, warewashing, glasswashing and food production to cater for up to 180 guests at any one time.

The Project Installation

What did we do?

A period of initial design took place to work out the kitchen layout and agree equipment specifications. Abraxas provided full project management throughout the installation of the kitchen and to make sure that the smooth running and necessary services requirements to the main contractor and client were always provided.

What did we install?

We installed a full kitchen extract and air make up system, 2 no. extraction canopies to the warewash area, gas rail and pipework, external walk-in coldroom connected directly to the kitchen through a wall opening, cookline, refrigeration, hospitality area including water boilers, cellar cooling plant and fabrication.

How long did the process take?

We worked with the architects, client and main contractor to design a facility within the allocated space with various revisions during the design and build process which was 9 months. We phased the install works over a period of 6 weeks to accommodate 1st and 2nd fix by the main contractor.

How many staff were on the project?

1 Project Manager and 3 Qualified Engineers.
