The Abraxas Solution

Faced with a lot of building work in the pub, due to the length of time being closed down, Abraxas was chosen to design and install a fully functioning commercial kitchen and extraction system fitted to comply with current regulations. We were all very proud to be a part of the rise of The Dinton Hermit.

The Project Installation

What did we do?

The kitchen space was quite small and with the equipment that was requested, we decided to come up with 2 different options for the client to consider. After some ‘tweaks’ this was finally approved for the project to go ahead.

What did we install?

The installation took place over a 3 day period for the pod shell and all the catering equipment to be installed. Everything was then checked and commissioned to make sure it was in full working order before leaving site. The equipment installed in the pod was:

      • Gas Interlock System & Pipework

      • Hood Type Pass-Thru Dishwasher

      • Undercounter Freezer

      • Commercial Microwave

      • Deck Type Pizza Oven

      • Electric Combi Oven

      • Double Well Gas Fryer

      • Heavy Duty Gas Chargrill

      • Heavy Duty Gas Range

      • Extraction & Ventilation System including fans and ductwork

      • Electric Hot Cupboard

      • Undercounter Refrigerator

      • Chest Freezer

How long did the process take?

The whole process from initial contact from the client to the completion of all works took approximately 8 weeks.

How many staff were on the project?

      • 1 x Design/PM

      • 3 x Engineers

The Benefits to the Company

How has Abraxas made an impact to the company?

The Dinton Hermit is a historic landmark which required extensive refurbishment of the venue. With major work being completed in the bar and restaurant areas to include a new vaulted ceiling conservatory, the kitchen needed to reflect the new chef requirements and the food that will be served along with the number of customers, especially opening in November, prior to the busiest time of year! We wish every success to the new owner, Paul Mitchell (Moogies Pubs), and everyone in the community.
