The Abraxas Solution

Abraxas was tasked with designing a new commercial kitchen to meet the needs of a nursery who were struggling to cope with their existing domestic kitchen. We redesigned the kitchen, removed the old domestic units, replaced the floors and walls with new safety flooring and hygienic wall cladding, and installed a new commercial grade kitchen to cope with their growing numbers.

  What was the process and how long did it take?

  We prepared initial designs and costs, we were then invited back to progress the project and advised on all the design considerations for their new kitchen, by looking at the merits of various options with respect to equipment selection, layout and ventilation. The project took from initial contact to final installation and completion, 6 months in total.

How has Abraxas made an impact to the company?

By listening to the catering staff about the issues they faced with their old kitchen, we’ve been able to increase their preparation space to make meal preparation less of a struggle, introduce new cooking technologies with a combination oven and induction range, to improve food nutrition and significantly speed up the cooking process, then save time and backache on clearing up afterwards with a new dishwashing system. They were somewhat excited with their new kitchen!
